Wrote software to take ECG telemetry information and other patient vital signs in real time and determine if medical event requiring attention occurred, enabling monitoring person to send appropriate response to patient’s bedside. Created development records required and inspected by FDA personal to confirm correct monitoring of patients, allowing for best patient outcomes. Wrote software using specialized operating system and software running on single board computer connected to PC. Wrote software to allow doctors when away from the hospital to monitor patient’s ECG in real time to provide treatment recommendations.

  • Led development team, adding additional protocol converters to embedded gateway device in C on C Executive RTOS using serial and Ethernet connections, providing for $12,000,000 in sales.
  • Developed and supported all VitalCom product lines. Successfully transitioned product development processes to corporate standards.
  • Created caching scheme to allow remote physiological waveform display to appear continuous, despite Internet latency breaks in data, facilitating patient diagnosis.
